My academic journey thus far

I graduated from my business degree with Distinction in 2020 and graduated from my law degree with First Class Honours in 2022. I became a research assistant for Dr Marie Hadley (University of Newcastle) in 2020 during COVID which cultivated a passion for legal academia within me. By studying intellectual property law in my undergraduate courses alongside researching intellectual property for Dr Marie Hadley, I developed substantial interest in the implications of intellectual property for society. In 2021, I wrote a dissertation that considered the application of copyright law and socio-political analysis to Trump’s use of music at his political rallies.

In 2023, I began my post-graduate study journey at the Queensland University of Technology. I was accepted under the scholarship ‘Access to Screen Culture in an Algorithmic Age’. My principal supervisor is Dr Kylie Pappalardo and my associate supervisors are Dr David Richard and Prof Nic Suzor. I investigate the distribution of screen content under streaming models from the perspective of fostering access to shared culture across all groups in society.
